OASIS impementation update

Family Voice is sharing the following bulletin from DDRS: ** OASIS Timeline and Important Facts *** Implementation Dates : · Full implementation of the Objective Assessment System for Individual Supports (OASIS) will begin January 1, 2009 with conversions on each person’s annual Plan of Care date. · All waiver consumers will be in OASIS by December 31, 2009. Day Services : Day Services has been a cause of concern over the past several weeks. Based on feedback from providers, the current proposed rate will not be implemented. We continue to work with advocates and providers to define an effective rate for day services. New Waiver Consumers : The BDDS waiver unit will be monitoring initial plans to ensure individuals are accessing day programming and justification in the absence of housemates if the plan is seeking 24-hour supports.
