3-Day Early Childhood Development Training from HANDS in Autism
The HANDS in Autism® Interdisciplinary Training and Resource Center is hosting a 3-Day Early Childhood Development Training for professionals. Having children as part of intensive trainings such as these are a unique and integral part to ensuring the participants have opportunities to see, understand, and, most importantly, implement the practices they are learning. We would love the opportunity to potentially partner with you and have your student(s) attend and be a part of this experience. We are looking for 3-4 students per 3-Day Training who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or other social, communication, behavior or neurodevelopmental disorders who are also between the ages of 2-6 years.
In 2021, we have opportunities available for children or student participants during the following weeks:
· Wednesday, April 7—Friday, April 9
· Wednesday, October 6—Friday, October 8
If selected for participation, your student(s) will work directly with HANDS trainers and focus on training of academic, behavioral, play/leisure, communication and functional skills. Your student(s) will be one of 3-4 students during the training and our training staff, which is comprised of a combination of psychologists and educators, will be working directly with your client(s) during the training week. Children will attend from attend in midday to afternoon times (approximately 12:00-3:30); however, times will be confirmed once participation is confirmed.
This is a great hands-on learning experience for early childhood professionals and it is a fun learning environment for the participating children as well!
