The Catalyst Center’s summer reading list features our most recent resources as well as some of our "greatest hits" on timely topics including care coordination, Medicaid Managed Care, and family financial hardship.

• Critical Elements for Financing the System of Care for CYSHCN: An Infographic Series – offers a concise look at a series of complex health insurance coverage and financing issues from the perspective of CYSHCN, their families, payers and policymakers, and providers.
• Breaking the Link Between Special Health Care Needs and Financial Hardship – explores the impact that health care financing and coverage gaps have on the lives of children and families and highlights innovative policy solutions that can improve the system of care for CYSHCN.
• Improving Care Coordination for Children with Medical Complexity: Exploring Medicaid Health Home State Options (brief developed with the National Academy for State Health Policy [NASHP]) - compares opportunities to enhance and expand care coordination for children with medical complexity in Medicaid by leveraging the Section 2703 Medicaid Health Home and the Advancing Care for Exceptional (ACE) Kids Act Health Home State Options.
• The Role of Title V Programs in Increasing Access to School-Based Health Services: Opportunities for Bolstering Medicaid Reimbursement - describes how State Title V Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and CYSHCN programs can collaborate with stakeholders to expand access to services in schools through Medicaid reimbursement
• The American Rescue Plan Act: Opportunities for Improving Home- and Community-Based Services for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs – explains a provision in ARPA that gives states the option of receiving extra financial support for providing HCBS to Medicaid beneficiaries and describes its potential implications for CYSHCN.
• A series of briefs developed by the National Academy of State Health Policy (NASHP) in partnership with the Catalyst Center examining opportunities for Title V – Medicaid collaborations to improve systems of services for CYSHCN:
