Priority List of Needs in Pediatric Therapeutics

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has extended a special invitation to Family Voices and affiliates to submit nominations to be prioritized in the Institute’s 2010-11 BPCA Priority List of Needs in Pediatric Therapeutics.
The nomination form, background information, and the prioritization process by which all nominations will be considered and evaluated can be located in a Request for Information (RFI) in the National Institutes of Health Guide:

http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-HD-10-010.html.

The RFI is titled “Call for Nominations for NICHD’s 2010-11 BPCA Priority List of Needs in Pediatric Therapeutics.” The RFI contains a link to an online form and also provides the option to email, fax or mail the completed form to NICHD. Nominations will be accepted through May 30, 2010.

Nominations should specify:
1) A drug, biologic, or medical device that requires further study in children, and
2) The proposed Therapeutic Area (e.g., pediatric condition, subpopulation or setting of care) in which it will be studied.

In addition to providing a nomination(s) for consideration, NICHD would like to invite you or an individual from your organization to participate in the prioritization process. If you are interested in participating in the review and prioritization of nominations, or would like to nominate another individual to participate, please contact Cynthia Schuster (cynthia.schuster@lewin.com), stating your interest and/or the nominated party.
NICHD looks forward to your participation in setting the 2010-11 BPCA Priority List of Needs in Pediatric Therapeutics.
