People's Agenda: Taxing Time Town Hall

Updated: Jan 4, 2008 01:49 PM EST
Mark your calendars for January 23: People's Agenda - Taxing Time Town Hall.
That's when you, the taxpayers of Indiana, can take over the chamber of the Indiana House of Representatives to tell lawmakers how the state's property tax crisis is affecting you, and what you want to see happen. You will find an open microphone and a few television cameras to voice your hopes, concerns and expectations for the 2008 session of the Indiana General Assembly.
This annual town hall meeting is free and open to all Hoosiers. It's sponsored by WTHR, WFYI and our news-gathering partners at The Indianapolis Star.
We're inviting Governor Daniels, Mayor Ballard, State Senator Luke Kenley and State Rep. Bill Crawford to serve as our panelists. State lawmakers will also be invited, as in years past.
The People's Agenda 2008 will be held on Wednesday, January 23 from 8:00 to 9:00 pm in the House Chambers of the Indiana Statehouse. It will air live on WTHR and will be carried live on WFYI-FM radio.
Register at www.wthr.com for your spot on the Statehouse floor at the People's Agenda Town Hall Meeting on Jan. 23. The deadline for registering is 5 p.m. Jan. 22, 2008.
