FSSA Announces Changes to First Steps Program
We are pleased to announce that in early 2009, the First Steps Central Reimbursement Office will again be supported by CSC Covansys.
FSSA management is currently in negotiations with CSC Covansys to transition functionality from our current technology provider to better serve families and providers. The transition from the current vendor will include the claims management, provider management and case management system.
As a user of the First Steps program you will not have any disruption of service during this time and you should notice marked improvements in processing of claims beginning in early 2009.
We are certain that the changes First Steps will be making from an operational perspective will be changes that will assist us in improving FSSA’s business practices, including:
Provider Enrollment and Credentialing
Claims Processing including Receipt, Adjudication and Payment
Fund Recovery Activities
Call Center Support for Applications, Claims Information and Staff Support
Family Cost Participation Support
Reporting
Compliance
Data Warehousing
Data Archiving
For additional information about these changes, please contact the First Steps program by email at firststepsweb@fssa.in.gov. As we begin the transition, we will communicate additional details to you through our quarterly newsletter and via updates on the First Steps website at http://www.firststeps.in.gov/
