Reduction in Attendant Care Services Reimbursement
FV Indiana shares the following informaiton as released by the The Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP):
The Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP)has determined a change in reimbursement is necessary in order to avoid an anticipated budgetary shortfall and to remain within the available Medicaid appropriation. As a result, reim-bursement for attendant care services will be reduced by 5 percent beginning for dates of service on or after January 1, 2011. If the changes are not implemented January 1, 2011, providers will be notified of the revised date and HP will mass adjust claims retrospectively.
