Governor opts for federally run high-risk insurance pool

FV Indiana recognizes that several of our members currently have coverage via the Indiana Comprehensive Health Insurance Association. Governor Daniels announced that Indiana will not expand this pool. The Federal HHS will establish a coverage program for Indiana. FV urges those who use the current pool to learn more about what this will mean for their coverage. Webinar on Parent Partnerships to Support Early Childhood, May 12,

May 12, 2010 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Eastern This webinar focuses on building and supporting parent partnerships with states to support programs and services for young children. The webinar is part of NASHP’s Assuring Better Child Health and Development (ABCD) program sponsored by The Commonwealth Fund. Participants will learn about a three-part framework for building parent partnerships, why each level of engagement is critical to efforts to improve care coordination and services for young children, and how states engaged in these initiatives can incorporate parent partnerships into their work. Priority List of Needs in Pediatric Therapeutics

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has extended a special invitation to Family Voices and affiliates to submit nominations to be prioritized in the Institute’s 2010-11 BPCA Priority List of Needs in Pediatric Therapeutics. The nomination form, background information, and the prioritization process by which all nominations will be considered and evaluated can be located in a Request for Information (RFI) in the National Institutes of Health Guide: The RFI is titled “Call for Nominations for NICHD’s 2010-11 BPCA Priority List of Needs in Pediatric Therapeutics.” The RFI contains a link to an online form and also provides the option to email, fax or mail the completed form to NICHD.
