New Interim Director of DDRS (Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services)

FSSA announces new leadership for Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services

Michael Gargano, secretary, Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), has named Douglas Elwell as interim director of FSSA’s Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS), effective December 1, 2011.

Elwell replaces Julia Holloway, who is considering several professional opportunities.

Elwell most recently served as managing principal for Health Management Associates, an independent national research and consulting firm specializing in complex healthcare program and policy issues. Elwell has held previous positions with FSSA including chief financial officer of the Division of Mental Health and Addiction; deputy director of the Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning; and posts with the Division of Family Resources and DDRS. Elwell has also served as chief executive officer of the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County.
