DDRS policy comment period

Family Voices encourages its members to be involved in public policy at all different levels. This announcement from DDRS requests public input on proposed policies.....this policy refers to a sanctioning committee: "It is the policy of the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) to establish a Sanctioning Committee to review and respond to providers demonstrating significant or sustained performance deficits, as related to Indiana Code, Title 460 of Indiana Administrative Code, and DDRS policies and procedures. This policy does not apply to supervised group living providers."

The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) has made a commitment to
transparency and public input in the policy development process. As a result, all new policies and policy updates will be posted online for public review and comment. The public comment period will last 30 business days from the date of posting, after which all policies will be removed from the page, reviewed based on the public input, finalized and posted onto the DDRS policy page.

The following policies will be posted on DDRS Draft Policies for Public Comment page, on Dec.
14, 2011 and will be available for review until Jan. 13, 2012:
