Public Hearings and Comment Period for #HIP (Healthy Indiana Plan)
Family Voices Indiana shares the following FSSA announcement regarding HIP:
The waiver approval process involves several steps. First, there will be a 30-day formal public notice and comment period during which the public can review the waiver and submit comments to the State in writing either by mail or email. A draft of the waiver and other related documents are posted on the Healthy Indiana Plan website athttp://www.hip.in.gov/. In addition, during the public comment period, the State will conduct two separate formal public hearings that can be attended in person or by phone or webcast.
- May 28, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. at the Indiana Government Center South, Conference Center Room B, located at 302 West Washington Street in Indianapolis
- May 29, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Indiana Statehouse, Room 156-B, located at 200 West Washington Street in Indianapolis. Public entrances to the Statehouse are located on the east and west sides of the building.
Both public hearings will be accessible via web conference athttp://www.webinar.in.gov/hip/.
Top officials from Governor Pence’s administration will also conduct public events at locations throughout the state to discuss HIP 2.0 and educate Hoosiers on the design of the plan prior to finalizing the waiver submission in late June. These events will be posted here once their schedules are finalized.
- May 29, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center Education Centers located at 5215 Holy Cross Parkway in Mishawaka, IN.
Once the public comment period is complete and the waiver is finalized it will be submitted formally to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
