Apply by Dec 15 for #ACA Coverage on Jan 1

December 15 is the deadline for purchasing a health plan that will provide coverage as of January 1. Beginning on December 16, consumers already enrolled in a Marketplace plan may be automatically re-enrolled in the same or a similar plan. Consumers are strongly encouraged to shop around for plans, as there is a strong likelihood that their current plan may not be the most affordable after tax credits and cost reductions are taken into account. 

Open enrollment continues through January 31 for health plans providing coverage as of February 1 (if purchased on or before January 15) or March 1 (if purchased from January 16-31).
