CDC WARNING about Acute Flaccid Myelitis

 CDC Expects 2020 Outbreak of Life-Threatening Acute Flaccid Myelitis--Doctors urged to quickly recognize symptoms and to hospitalize patients immediately

Parents and doctors should suspect Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM) in patients with sudden limb weakness, especially during August through November. Recent respiratory illness or fever and the presence of neck or back pain or any neurological symptom should heighten their concern.
