COVID-19 Vaccines and Children with Disabilities: Ask the Expert
Do you have questions about COVID-19 vaccines for young people with disabilities? With rapidly changing eligibility guidelines around vaccines and booster shots, it can be confusing and worrisome for parents who have a teen or child with a disability.
The Center for Health Equity is hosting a webinar featuring Dr. Mary Ciccarelli, Founding Director of the Center for Youth and Adults with Conditions of Childhood at Riley Hospital and IU Professor of Clinical Medicine and Clinical Pediatrics. Dr. Ciccarelli will focus on vaccine information for parents of children and adolescents with disabilities and answer the questions asked by attendees. Parents of children with disabilities will share first-hand perspectives on vaccination and protecting their child and family.
The free webinar will be on November 4, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm EDT. Captioning and Sign Language Interpreting will be provided. The Center for Health Equity is part of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University. The webinar is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living.
