Indiana 211 OpenBeds Update
As Indiana 211 continues to grow and evolve, so must their workflows. When DMHA first launched the OpenBeds program in 2018 to connect Hoosiers to treatment, the platform used Indiana 211’s existing database of service providers to connect people to treatment and wraparound services. Beginning Aug. 29, 2022, the 211 team will begin using their own internal assessment tool to offer resources to callers from within the Indiana 211 database. As a result, Indiana 211 will no longer be accessible via the OpenBeds platform.
This does not mean that Indiana 211 will not be accepting calls regarding substance use disorder or mental health. The 211 trained community navigators will continue to connect Hoosiers in need to treatment services. Additionally, should you have clients that are in need of wraparound services, you are still able to connect to them, 24/7, 365, by dialing 2-1-1. This will also allow for 211 staff to directly connect with your client in need and offer beneficial services at that time.
DMHA and 211 look forward to continuing to work with your organization and serving Hoosiers!
