Transition Stakeholder Groups for Students with IEPs and Parents

IDOE is establishing a stakeholder group of transition-age students with Individualized Education Programs, ages 14 to 22, who are willing to participate in discussions surrounding Indiana's State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report. The goal is to increase youth involvement in statewide decisions. The focus is on graduation and drop out trends for students with IEPs, secondary transitions for students over 14, and post-school outcomes for former students with IEPs. The parent/family stakeholder group will discuss similar topics and assessments, school discipline and disability representation across categories, parent involvement and school environment. All sessions will be held virtually. The initial student stakeholder group is tentatively scheduled from 1-2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 7. Apply here. Contact IDOE’s Office of Special Education with any questions.
