IDJ Webinar Participants Wanted
Indiana Disability Justice is currently looking for participants with different disabilities to be on panel discussions about your experiences both positive and negative.
The first webinar is on structural ableism in October. This is how physical spaces impact your ability to complete tasks. For example, the absence of a low stimulant room can make waiting in a waiting area challenging for someone with sensory disabilities.
In November we are also planning a webinar on systemic ableism. This has to do with laws and regulations that impede people with disabilities from living their fullest lives, like having a cap on earned income.
You will be compensated $250 for your time. The time commitment is around 3.5 hours plus your prep time. Once I gather participants, we will set times for two Zoom meetings. First, there will be a 1.5 hour strategic meeting where we get to know each other and make a plan for the webinar. The second Zoom appointment will be the 1.5 hour webinar. You will need to be there a little before the webinar.jmilharcic.idj@gmail.com for more information. Please contact
