Medicaid Unwinding Update

"Since April 1, when states were permitted to begin terminating Medicaid coverage for people protected by COVID-19 continuous enrollment provisions, over 500,000 people have been disenrolled, including nearly 250,000 in Florida alone.  According to a KFF analysis of early data from 11 states, over 80% of terminations in Florida, Arkansas, and Indiana were due to people not completing the redetermination process, as opposed to people who were found to no longer qualify for Medicaid."

If you have Indiana Medicaid, please make sure FSSA has your most up to date contact information (phone number, address, email address).  Here are the steps FSSA suggests taking:

• Go to FSSABenefits.IN.gov
• Scroll down to the blue "Manage Your Benefits" section
• Click on either "Sign in to my account" or "Create account"
• Check that your contact information is accurate
• Call 800-403-0864 if you need assistance
• Then watch your mail!  Be sure to respond with any information you're asked to provide
