Emergency Preparedness Trainings focused on DeafBlind Communities

 


Helen Keller National Center is hosting a new webinar series in September for National Preparedness Month.  This four-part webinar series will provide the DeafBlind community, family members and service providers the tools and resources they need to prepare for emergencies and disasters. 

The webinar series will focus on: Overview & Disasters, Fire & Home Safety, Lived Experiences of DeafBlind Individuals in Emergencies: A Panelist Discussion, and The Power of Adaptive Technology in Emergencies.  ASL interpreting and captions will be available on Zoom.

When: Every Wednesday in September 2023, 2-3:30pm EST

Audience: DeafBlnd individuals, their families, and professionals who support them

Cost: $25 for each webinar
