Glossary 

Become familiar with these commonly used acronyms: 

Appropriation: a specific amount of money that is intended for use by a specific state program 

FSSA: Family and Social Services Administration (in charge of Medicaid & First Steps) 

DDRS: Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services

BDS: Bureau of Disabilities Services

CMS: Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (federal agency that oversees Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program, and the Health Insurance Marketplace)

DD: Developmental Disabilities 

IDOE: Indiana Department of Education

FY: Fiscal Year 

HB: House Bill 

HR: House Resolution 

SB: Senate Bill
