IHCP Bulletins Addressing Medicaid Waiver Changes

On June 6, 2024, Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) released several bulletins related to updates of Medicaid Waiver services that will be effective July 1.  Below is a brief summary with links to the full bulletin.

Home Modification Assessment Service: this service will be added to the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Waiver,  Community Integration and Habilitation (CIH) Waiver, and the Family Supports Waiver (FSW).  This will be required prior to any home modification as well as an inspection once a home modification has been completed. 

Structured Family Caregiving Added to TBI Waiver: Structured Family Caregiving service is being added to the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Waiver.

Career Exploration and Planning Added to FSW & CIH: Career Exploration is a new service that will be available under the Family Supports Waiver (FSW) and the Community Integration and Habilitation (CIH) Waiver.  This service is meant to help an individual make an informed choice about competitive integrated employment and identify a career path.
