The AMCHP Family LEAD Committee wants to learn from families across the United States who are raising children with special health care needs. What do families want in a perfect system of services? There are many challenges to overcome when navigating the system of care for children with special health care needs or disabilities.
If you could change one thing to make the system work better for families, what would you want to see changed? Think broadly about various systems - medical, school, recreation, community support, etc. and also consider needs related to accessing services, financing services, equity, and family well-being.
