On Tuesday, July 15th, INSILC will host the third in a series of town halls focused on engaging disability communities in underserved areas of Indiana. The event will take place from 3:00–7:00 p.m. at the Century Center at 120 S Doctor M.L.K. Jr. Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601.
Attendees will hear from policymakers, ask questions, and provide public comments on key issues like healthcare, transportation, employment, guardianships, and disaster preparedness.
These town halls aim to gather feedback from Hoosiers with disabilities to help shape the State Plan for Independent Living, which guides efforts to improve services over the next three years. Public input is essential for INSILC and its partners to ensure state officials understand and address the needs of disability communities.
Food and beverage will be available, some complimentary and some for purchase. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is preferred but not required.
The event will have ASL interpreters and CART services; for additional accommodation requests, please complete the registration form or email info@indianasilc.org. Please make requests two business days in advance to help to ensure the availability of the accommodation.
