The Indiana Department of Education 2010 Season Opener

FV Indiana learned of the following event of interest to our members. Please note the multiple locations and times. While the event has been advertised as for educators the registration appears to allow the public to attend. If you attend please consider submitting a write up of the event that FV can share with our members.

The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) invites you to join State Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Tony Bennett and members of the IDOE senior staff at this year's Superintendent's Season Opener: News You Can Use for the 2010-2011 School Year. There are many exciting initiatives that set Indiana apart as a leader in education reform, and we encourage you to come take a closer look at how they will impact you and your students during this FREE event for Indiana educators.

A team of representatives from the IDOE will be on-hand to discuss and answer questions regarding Indiana's Growth Model, Common Core Standards, A-F School Grading, Teacher Evaluations, Reading Framework, Curriculum Mapping, and Rules for Educator Preparation and Accountability (REPA). This event promises useful information and engaging discussion as we gear up for a successful school "season" in Indiana.
