FV Testimony at #HIP 2.0 Hearing

Family Voices Indiana provided testimony today at the Healthy Indiana Plan hearing. Special Enrollment Period for #ACA due to loss of #Medicaid Spend Down

Feel free to contact us for additional information: 317 944 8982 Special Enrollment Periods for Consumers with "Medically Needy" or "Spend-Down" Medicaid The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have provided guidance about when consumers participating in a "medically needy" or "spend-down" state program will be able to get a special enrollment period once their Medicaid coverage ends. These consumers will have  60 days  from the date Medicaid coverage ends to enroll in a health plan through the Marketplace. The consumer should answer "yes" to the question on the application that asks if he or she recently lost health coverage.  The consumer should not indicate on the application that he or she currently has Medicaid.  

Public Hearings and Comment Period for #HIP (Healthy Indiana Plan)

Family Voices Indiana shares the following FSSA announcement regarding HIP: Notice of Public Comment Period The waiver approval process involves several steps. First, there will be a 30-day formal public notice and comment period during which the public can review the waiver and submit comments to the State in writing either by mail or email. A draft of the waiver and other related documents are posted on the Healthy Indiana Plan website at . In addition, during the public comment period, the State will conduct two separate formal public hearings that can be attended in person or by phone or webcast.
