Now recruiting members for Patient and Family Advisory Board Opportunity

The Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) is seeking applicants to join a Patient and Family Advisory Board (PFAB) for the Developing a Patient-Centered Complex Care Research Agenda project. Through the PFAB, CHCS will partner with people who experience complex health care needs (including mental health and/or substance use conditions) and social needs (for example, challenges related to housing, food access, and transportation), and whose incomes have not always covered basic living expenses. The PFAB will help inform and guide the project, which is focused on exploring how these health, social and economic needs make managing health conditions more difficult, and will help complex care programs develop solutions to make our health care systems better.

CHCS anticipate the time commitment to be 25-30 hours from October 2021 to July 2022. This would entail monthly virtual meetings, reviewing and providing feedback on project materials, and helping to design meetings and participating in them, among other activities. Members will be compensated for their time. Some details about compensation are still being finalized but believe the amount will be around $1,500 over the course of the project.

The deadline for applying is September 14th, and the application can be filled out online here or via hard copy (attached).
