Section 504 safeguards against disability discrimination and mandates that states offer services in community-based settings instead of institutional ones. Indiana Family to Family thanks Attorney General Rokita for his decision to withdraw. By stepping away from this lawsuit, Indiana is affirming its commitment to upholding disability rights and fostering supportive environments for all citizens, especially those with disabilities.
