Opportunity to share your story: $50 stipend

Family Voices Indiana shares this opportunity to positively impact future nurse practitioners and social workers: Seeking 24 families who are willing to be interviewed by Graduate Students about their experiences raising a child with special health care needs or disabilities. Interviews will take place during the Spring Semester of 2013 at mutually agreed upon times.  Families will receive a $50.00 stipend for their participation. 12 for class of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners Looking for families whose child(ren) are medically complicated Interviews can happen in person or via phone 12 for class of MSW Social Work Students Looking for all kinds of disabilities Preference for in person interviews, but could  be via phone Interested families should send the following to Adult Name Child Name Child Age Child Diagnosis Phone number to reach adult Email to reach adult Best days and times to reach adult County you live in  

Survey (en Espanol): Making Services Easier to Use For Hispanic/Latino Families

If you are a Hispanic/Latino parent or caregiver of a child with a special health care need(s)/chronic condition/disability in Indiana, we would greatly appreciate you taking the time to respond to this brief, anonymous 10 question survey.  Your responses will help us better assess what barriers you face in receiving the resource and services you and your child may need.  The survey is available in both English and Spanish. Comment period for Aged and Disabled waiver renewal

Family Voices Indiana encourages its members to share their voice regarding policy changes that affect their loved ones. FSSA has announced a public comment period for the A&D waiver. The Division of Aging is soliciting public comment until  January 25, 2013  regarding the upcoming renewal of the Aged and Disabled Waiver. Click  here  to see the document.
