Upcoming BDDS Waiver Redesign Initial Concept Paper feedback opportunities

On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services released its initial Waiver Redesign Initial Concept Paper. We are pleased to share three upcoming opportunities for you to learn more and share your feedback on the ideas and information shared in the concept paper. Dates and locations are listed below:

Friday, January 10, 2020, around noon EST – Join Cathy Robinson, BDDS director and Jessica Harlan-York, BQIS director, on Facebook Live. They will be talking about the concept paper with a particular focus on how you can share your feedback. To join the event live, please visit the BDDS Facebook page around noon. Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 10 a.m. – noon EST – The DDRS Advisory Council will be holding their monthly meeting at Easter Seals Crossroads located at 4740 Kingsway Drive, fifth floor, conference rooms 1 & 2. Friday, January 17, 2020, from 10 - 11 a.m. EST – DDRS will host a stakeholder webinar on the recently released BDDS Waiver Redesign Initial Concept Paper. The presentation will include an overview of the concept paper, key issues and ideas presented, and ways to provide feedback.

The webinar will be recorded and posted on the BDDS’ Waiver ReDesign webpage for viewing at a later date. Questions will be collected during the webinar with responses posted in a FAQ document following the webinar. Below is the information on accessing the webinar:

  • Participants will sign in as a guest using their name.
  • Audio will be voice over internet, so participants will need to use speakers or headphones to hear the presentation.
