Collaborative Conversations with Families – Seminar 2: Irritability and Pain

Learning objectives for this second session of the 10-part seminar series, Collaborative Conversations with Families to Advance the Clinical Care of Children with Medical Complexities and Disabilities (C6), are to identify differences between acute and chronic pain management; demonstrate language strategies with parents when introducing and managing chronic pain; and develop care plans for breakthrough symptoms. Each session of the series, which is funded by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, includes a panel of national experts, both clinical and caregiver.
